ECU+ software/firmware version 2.10 beta now available

Announcing the immediate availability of a beta version of the soon-to-be-released ECU+ software and firmware. This release is the result of over a year's worth of work, and includes a ton of new features. See http://www.ecuplus.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=630 for the list of new stuff.

This software and firmware has been working fine in my car for a while, so it's time for some general testing. As soon as folks stop reporting bugs, I'll release a final version. If you have any interest at all in the new load of ECU+ features, please test this release so that any problems you have on your car can be addressed before release. In particular, I'd like to see some 1G DSM folks try this out - they finally get OBD capability. Also, the EVO guys who want to use the new ECU+ ROM editing and map tracing will definitely want to shake this version out.

To get the new stuff, send an e-mail to support@ecuplus.com, and include the serial number of your ECU+ head unit.

ok,my silver box is still on v2.04 and i ordered 2 silverboxes for 2 friends of mine from mach V(not here yet..)


soooo... how do i update all 3 boxes to version 2,10?

do i have to remove my silverbox to update it?

what about the 2 new silver box ecuplus i just ordered..can i update them before installing em on my friends 2gs

i ordered 2 silver boxes on oct 10th(havent got notification or a tracking number yet..so i guess they arent shipped as yet).. will these be new ones with 2.10:-)??

Hey raph,

1.) you dont need to remove you box to update it. You cant remove it, you need the power supply from you car.

2.) And you can plug your friends boxes in your car, to update them.

But you have to make one setting file (.ema) from each of the new boxes. Even if there are no settings in there. But dont start the engine just turn on the ignition key. Update. Turn off.

Man, Tom, I haven't looked at ECU+ stuff in a long time, and I come back to find all of these cool new features! I can't wait to fire up the new version when I get retuned in a couple of weeks. Nice work!
